South Tyrol has a very lively art scene, built and supported by internationally renowned museums, galleries, art spaces and other cultural institutions.
The province’s central location in the heart of Europe and in close proximity to metropolises such as Milan, Munich and Zurich makes it a perfect place for both local and foreign artists to live and work. This is why its steadily growing and increasingly diverse art scene is as necessary as it is promising.
Art South Tyrol, the result of close cooperation among local art institutions, provides a framework for information and conversation on, with and by the South Tyrol art world. Its members, a combination of established South Tyrol contemporary art museums and galleries, emerging new cultural institutions and associations, and temporary initiatives and biennials are presented here with their current programs.
